Fledgling Association Achieves /
Exceeds Goals, Stability, Viability

A young association serving a segment of the food industry was foundering with little direction and no strong sense of purpose, prior to CMD’s involvement. We were one of seven consultant firms invited to make a proposal on how to best solve this organization’s numerous issues. And while we were not the low bidder, the merits of our programs won out, and we were awarded the consulting project.

. . . CMD worked closely with members of the board from all key segments of allied industry, including growers, packers, processors, and marketers, to define and identify specific issues and concerns, specifically including funding the organization – perhaps the key overriding issue.

. . . Over a 120-day period, CMD developed, helped ‘sell’, and then implement a detailed Strategic Plan that set forth precise strategies and programs in the major areas of food safety, animal welfare, legislative affairs, leadership and networking, membership, and funding.

. . . One year later, CMD was called on to produce a video documenting the association’s accomplishments over that time. We were pleased to learn that,

Of the Eleven Major Points set forth in the initial plan, NINE had already been fully accomplished / implemented, and the Remaining TWO were well in process.

That video served to tell the tale of this organization’s success, and helped reassure industry that the right decisions had been made.
